Audit-first pricing

Three steps. Audit before build, always.

The Context Audit maps your sources before any build work begins. That is what turns a rough estimate into a price you can rely on.

Step 2

Brain Build

£2,000 to £4,000

One company brain built from the sources agreed at audit, the schema applied, and one flagship skill stood up behind an approval gate. Priced by source count and data volume, not flat.

  • Scope capped to sources and volume agreed at audit
  • AI-readable wiki structured and organized on our engine
  • One flagship skill built and tuned against your real content
  • Approval-first: every output reviewed by your team before use
  • Extra sources or skills are separate add-ons with their own price
Step 3

Maintain and Operate

£2,000 /mo

A managed-employee retainer is the recurring engine: live sync and scheduled freshness sweeps keep the brain current, agent tuning sharpens skills against real output, and one new or upgraded skill is included each quarter.

  • Scheduled freshness sweeps to keep context from going stale
  • Skill tuning against actual output and real use patterns
  • One new or upgraded skill included per quarter
  • Monthly review against output value, not just system uptime
The maths

What £2,000 a month is set against.

No fabricated results. Here is the honest framing: an illustrative time saving on the left, and what the retainer replaces on the right. Swap in your own numbers and judge it yourself.

Worked example, illustrative only
Hours your team gets back each month (your number)~20 hrs
Your blended cost per hour (your number)£75
Time recovered, valued at your rate£1,500 /mo
The Maintain retainer£2,000 /mo

Shown at 20 hours and £75 an hour to illustrate the shape. On these figures recovered time alone covers most of the retainer, before any extra client is won or kept. One client retained per quarter is usually worth far more than the annual fee.

Next to what it replaces
Part-time admin hire, on-cost included£1.5k to £2.5k+ /mo
A retained VA who still needs context spoon-fed£800 to £2k+ /mo
One mid-size client lost to dropped follow-ups£1k to £5k+ /mo gone

Typical UK market ranges for context, not quotes. A hire takes holidays, needs onboarding, and walks the context out when they leave. The brain stays, stays fresh, and is read by all six agents.

Why it works this way

The audit de-risks the build.

Data-loading effort is the variable that breaks flat "knowledge base" quotes. The format and condition of your context determines how long ingestion takes, and nobody knows that until someone has looked.

The Context Audit is how we look before quoting. You receive a fixed build price with explicit scope. We receive the information we need to hold that price. Neither side is guessing.

What the audit delivers

  • A clear picture of where your context lives and what condition it is in
  • A proposed schema so the brain is organized for retrieval, not just stored
  • One flagship skill chosen on the basis of your actual sources and workflows
  • A fixed build quote you can say yes or no to without obligation
  • An honest view of what is in scope and what is not

Checkout is arranged after the audit is agreedNo Stripe link is sent before scope and price are agreed in writing. After you submit the enquiry form, we reply with next steps, agree the audit scope, then arrange payment before any work begins.

Book a Context Audit

The audit is the first step.

Five hundred to seven hundred and fifty pounds. A fixed engagement that maps your sources, proposes a schema, recommends a flagship skill, and ends with a build quote you can evaluate without commitment.

What Admin Chief is and is not. Admin Chief organizes and operates company context for administrative and operational use. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, HR, or professional advice of any kind. No output is sent to clients or third parties without your review and approval. Nothing is connected or charged before scope and price are agreed in writing.

Pricing questions.

Honest answers to what people ask before booking.

Why does pricing have a range rather than a fixed number?

Because data-loading effort varies by source count, format, and condition. A client with 30 clean Notion pages is not the same job as a client with 200 PDF proposals and three disconnected systems. The audit is what pins the number.

Can I skip the Context Audit and go straight to the build?

No. The audit is the only route to a build quote we can stand behind. Without it, the main variable (data-loading effort) is unknown, and a fixed price would be a guess. The audit protects your budget as much as ours.

What does the Brain Build include and exclude?

One brain, one flagship skill, the sources and volume agreed at audit. Additional sources, extra skills, or scope changes after audit are separate items with their own price. Everything in and out of scope is written down before the build starts.

What keeps the Maintain and Operate fee justified over time?

The skill has to keep producing visible output. If the briefs, quotes, or angles the skill generates stop being useful, the fee is not worth paying and we would rather know that than quietly keep the retainer. Monthly review is part of the service.
